This painting erupted in my mind while I was out doing errands. I was listening to the radio as I drove along and a rock tune came over the air. The singers were singing the lyrics 'shake it, shake it' and with my mind's eye I began to see a girl dancing, shaking it. I made a sketch or two when I returned home and eventually chose to paint her in this manner.
